Tell Your Legislators To:
Support Small Business and Veterans Organizations - Say NO to SB 516
Many Kansas small businesses and veterans organizations rely on skill-based amusement games as an important source of revenue that helps keep their doors open and supports the communities they serve. Unfortunately, the Kansas Legislature is now considering SB 516, a proposal that would ban skill games across the state.
Kansas does not need a policy that takes away an important source of income for local establishments like bars, restaurants, convenience stores, VFWs, American Legions, and other community gathering places. These games help small businesses cover rising costs, keep employees working, and allow veterans organizations to continue supporting the men and women who served our country.
At a time when small businesses are already dealing with higher costs and economic uncertainty, lawmakers should not pass policies that make it harder for these local establishments to survive. Banning skill games would hurt the small businesses and veterans groups that communities across Kansas depend on.
It is time to stand up and protect Kansas small businesses and the organizations that support our veterans.
